Tadley saw the return of a full strength squad who were determined to provide a bench mark to map their progression from the start of the season.
The home team elected to receive the kick off an immediately attacked but the Bradford side showed that they had come to this game ready to meet Tadley head on and out rucked the home team turning over possession. Perhaps Bradford delivered the shock that Tadley needed as they quickly relied the defence and presented themselves with a little more vigour in subsequent contact situations.
Tadley worked hard to retain possession and build phases and the first break through came through a quick tap penalty taken by Tom Bailey to release openside Darren Staley who flopped over the line.
Tadley did not have to wait long for their next score with Chris Dennison finishing off a well constructed move.
The home team saved their finest move for just prior to break which saw an attacking move from within their own half, Tadley dazzled home supporters with interplay between forwards and backs seeming the majority of players handling the ball and prop Gordan Grierson crossing the line under the posts. Converted by Chris Dennison brought the half time score to 17-0.
The second half saw a composed performance by the home team. Chris Dennison slotting a penalty again taking Tadley's noses slightly further ahead of the Bradford side.
Tadley's very own try machine Gavin Dampies came into his own in the second half scoring his first try as a result of an electric break by scrum half Tom Bailey from the half way line. and his second by simply out pacing the entire Braford back line. Both tries were converted by Chris Dennison taking the final score to 34-0. A well earned clean sheet with a solid defensive performance.
This game saw very solid performances from several of the Tadley players but the men of the match this week is a joint award for former room mates Tom Bailey and Mike Keeley.
Tadley make the trip to play Minety next week in the penultimate league game of the season.
